Cotignac, France: As Pretty as a Picture

– Posted in: France

Cotignac is the village in which we chose to live for one month, and what a good choice it was. The picture above is a view from my bedroom on the 4th floor.

Surrounded by natural beauty and steeped in history the village supposedly has a population of around 2,200. Being close to the Mediterranean though many day trippers visit for a lazy lunch wearing their bronzed tans and casual chic in the way that seems so effortless with the French.

Pictures speak louder than words sometimes, so here are a few of around the village;

Lots of pretty villages nearby but Cotignac is a perfect size as a base. Plenty going on

Great photos of one of the thousand +/- cute villages in France. In a month you will be able to get the real feel for French village life. The country is amazing. Keep enjoying your time there. Eat great food and enjoy the wine

We’re doing our best with both food and wine Caroline πŸ™‚

Wow Maxine!! How beautiful is that – makes Bali look less inviting. Took Caroline to see the movie “The hundred foot journey” with Helen Mirren – made us very envious of you. Hope you and Donie are well

I must check that movie out, or maybe make one of my own πŸ™‚ Zena also recommended it xx
